There is something magical about the French Riviera. From the blueness of the sea, the natural beauty of the coastline and the atmosphere; it can't be experienced anywhere else. Nice is a gorgeous city and my holiday there was a dream. My bestie and I had so much fun travelling around.

The best way to explore a city is on foot. One the first day, we found ourselves doing exactly that; exploring the local area and scoping out a couple of bakeries for us to grab a cheeky pastry or two. With the sea covering one side of the city, it's hard to get lost and we left our map in our bags most of the time.  Check out the Russian Orthodox Church, Villa Masséna Musée and Place Masséna to make the most out of your visit.

Travel tip- Did you know you can download an offline version of Google Maps? It was life savour on our holiday especially as I struggled to get an internet connection.

One of my favourite activities from the holiday was renting a Velo Bleu (city bikes). It was cheaper than we thought and a really fun way to explore the coastline and city. We cycled along the Promenade des Anglais, which wraps around the whole coast of Nice, up around this hill and around the harbour on the other side. On top of the hill are some amazing views of the city below. We also spotted the #ILoveNice sign where, of course, we had to take a few pictures.

No holiday is a holiday without a trip to the beach. Throughout the day, we kept finding ourselves wandering down to the beach to listen to the waves. The beaches are pebbly but it's comfier than you'd think. There are a few private beaches along the coastline which are ideal if you're looking to completely unwind for the day. Or for a more casual affair, you can sit on the pebbles, sunbathe and soak up the sun. There are a couple of sandy beaches only a short train away in Cannes or Antibes.

On one of the days, we visited Cannes. It was about €10 each for a return. It was a pretty chill day as we walked around the harbour, Le Vieux Port, picking out which yachts we wanted to own and discussing our yacht lifestyle.

We wandered over to the Palais des Festivals, famously known for the location of the Cannes Film festival. Next to the Palais is a little park which is a gorgeous oasis of tall palm trees and vibrant green grass. Along the pathway, you can find paving stones with celebrity handprints and signatures, sort of like Cannes’ own walk of fame. On the other side of the road is where you can find all the designer stores: Chanel, Gucci, Dior and Fendi etc.

For the rest of the day, we chilled on the beach soaking up the relaxed atmosphere until it was time to go back.

On our last day, we sat on the beach to listen and watch the waves. We managed to catch a glimpse of the beautiful sun as it set over the horizon. It was a magical end to our wonderful trip. Nice is one of the most relaxing places I’ve been too and I can't wait to go back again.

One of my favourite things about London is that it is constantly changing. You can spend a whole lifetime discovering the city and you’ll still have never discovered it all. I’ve grown up in East London and I never really saw the best parts of it or at least I didn’t know about them.

A few years ago, I set out on this adventure that I would explore what London has to offer and that always took me to either central London or over west to my favourite borough of Kensington and Chelsea. But the way I see London now has changed.

I am lucky enough to write the blog for a luxury fashion brand based in East London -they're quite a big deal. The content I am writing is about places and people in East London, the very best of, uncovering secrets, kind of like a guide to the East End. And it’s made me fall back in love with the Eastside.

I’ve always known the East end is special. There’s a sense of community when you walk through each borough and that’s one of the things I love.

The other day, I went down to Columbia Road Flower Market (for their next post) and I loved it. I had to wake up early on Sunday, around 7ish, absolute torture but I loved the already buzzing atmosphere that was there when I arrived. There was something special and unique about it. The sky was gently warming up and everyone was already wide awake. Not to mention that the market was lined with beautiful vibrant flowers.

The work I’m doing has led me to look at my hometown with new eyes. For some reason, I had it in my head that I was trying to escape east London. You never really heard much about what was going on and all the exciting things seemed to happen over West. And I suppose, my new work has led me to uncover everything that’s going on in the East. I do research, I stay up-to-date and it’s a pretty amazing place with lots of hidden secrets.

It’s definitely changed a lot from when I was younger, the hipster culture is growing and a lot of places have been gentrified but it’s definitely the place to be. After all, your night out is most likely to lead you into East London.

Check out what I've been working on over at Paradise Row Curates.

If you’ve kept up with the latest beauty news then you know that Korean beauty a.k.a K-Beauty has become a new market favourite. Their quirky but phenomenal products are revolutionising the market and I am in full support of it.

One of my favourite Korean beauty products is the Faith in Face, I Need Relaxing Care pearl cellulose sheet mask. As far as sheet masks go, this is the most hydrating mask I have ever tried. When you take the folded sheet out of the packet, it is dripping in serum. It took me by surprise the first time I used it as I juggled with it my hands. The serum was easily and quickly absorbed by my skin, leaving it with a much-needed burst of hydration. The pack recommends that you leave it one for 15-20 minutes. It's longer than most masks but sitting down and not doing much for that time with a cooling mask on your face is seriously one of the most relaxing activities.

K-beauty is impressing everyone and it's obvious as to why. Not only do they have quirky packaging but they're selling quality products and adding fun back into beauty. I've only had a snippet of k-beauty and I'm excited to try what's next.

I've only been able to find these masks in person in TK Maxx but I have found them available on Amazon.

Welcome to my French Riviera Inspired Lookbook! The French Riviera is a magical coastline with sparkly rich blue seas and an aura of wealth. One of my favourite things about going on holiday is piecing together looks that are influenced by the local culture. Harper's Bazaar describes the French coastline's style as "somewhere between nautical and Parisian chic." Here is my take.

Top - H&M
Shorts - H&M

This is my favourite look from the whole trip! Mostly because I feel it captures the essence of the French Riviera more than the other outfits did. I wore it whilst visiting the beautiful town of Cannes and felt very chic walking around. I love the simplicity of the black crop top with it's the straight neckline. The linen shorts add a nautical feel to the outfit, blending in to the heavy yacht scene along the blue coast.

Top - Forever 21
Shorts - H&M

This is the kind of outift I picture when I imagine myself cycling along the promenade; shorts and a cute top. Although it can be a little fiddly, I love this wrap top. The frills on the sleeves and the long wrap belt add a sense of youth to the outfit that is emphasised by the large floppy hat. And everyone looks cute in a good pair of shorts.

Top - H&M
Shorts - H&M
Sunnies - My own

When exploring any place you need to wear something comfy and practical but that doesn't mean you have to skip on style. Exploring cities are easier to dress for as you don't have to worry about mud and dirt. I really like this top as it has tie shoulder straps and a peplum bottom. It's cute, easy to pair with and the smocking detail at the top means a bra is not necessary. A nice change from being squashed into a bikini.

Dress - New Look (shop Similar)

You can never go wrong with a plain white dress. I wore this whilst visiting Monaco and simplicity (in fashion) is key over there. The buttons down the middle add a little character to the dress and allow you to play with the style, such as leaving the last few buttons open to create a slit in the dress. I paired it with my straw floppy hat from Accessorize and my brown gladiator sandals from New Look.

I also filmed a Lookbook which I'd love for you to check out! Watch it here.

Going on holiday? Wondering what essentials to pick up before you go? With the holiday season officially underway, I’ve compiled a list/ edit of some of my favourite holiday items that will make your holiday that extra bit sweeter.

Spool Me Over, Essie (Nail Polish)

One of my favourite things about going on holiday -as cheesy as it is- is doing my nails. I love picking out a new colour and having a fresh coat that will last even after the holiday. Spool Me Over by Essie is a gorgeous pink. It’s not as bright as what I usually wear but this colour gets better as the days go on and the slightly faded look really compliments a tan.

Effacular Blur, La Roche-Posay (Makeup base)

Finding some sort of coverage whilst on holiday can be a bit tricky as you’re pretty much going to sweat everything off. One solution is to spend a lot of time prepping and baking to prevent it. But, who can really be asked to do that? I’ve been using Effacular Blur for a while now and it’s been great. The BB cream can also be used as an SPF (suncream alternative). Double whammy; as you get your coverage and your skin is protected from the sun. It can look a little dry at first -if you look really closely- but it soaks up those pesky oils throughout the day. Making you look better throughout the day, something you don’t get often. It has a light-weight mousey texture and is a perfect base for any look.

Sea You Later Floppy Hat, Accessorize (Fedora)

I feel like everyone should have a fedora/ floppy hat. They’re not only fashionable but practical too. (Protecting your scalp from the sun, etc) It’s hard to find the perfect one that fits right but when you do, it’s great. Inspired by Meghan Markle and Dakota Johnson, I had to add a fedora to my holiday wardrobe. This one by Accessorise is adorable with the little tassels along the writing, Sea you Later. Fedora’s are everywhere this year and you can find them in H&M, Zara and Primark. They also make extremely cute Instagram pictures.

How To Be An Overnight Success by Maria Hatzistefanis (Book)

What is a holiday without a book? Every holiday deserves a new book and my pick is How to be an Overnight Success by Maria Hatzistefanis, founder of luxury skincare brand Rodial and Nip + Fab. Maria takes you through all the steps in how to be a success in business and personal branding. I have been loving self-improvement books lately; anything that teaches you about you, about blogging, fashion, you name it. There’s so much to learn and not just about yourself. Some people enjoy escaping with a bit of fiction, but for the moment, I’m happy to add a little self-discovery to my holiday.

Tan Strappy Gladiator Sandals, New Look (Footwear)

There is always that one pair of sandals in your shoe collection that lasts for years and for me, it’s my New Look pair. Gladiator sandals are a summer wardrobe staple and having them in tan makes them extremely versatile. You’ll struggle to find something that doesn’t go with them. The last pair of tan sandals I bought from New Look lasted ages and I wore them everywhere, all summer long.

Those are my holiday essentials, what essentials are you taking away with you?

Primer has become a must-have item in my makeup bag ever since I started wearing the stuff almost five years ago. The other month I decided it was time to switch up my primer as my skin type had changed and I needed it to do different things.

Revlon’s PhotoReady Pore Reducing Primer was suggested to me by a friend and I thought I’d do a review on it.

It's one of their two primers from their PhotoReady collection and will set you back £12.99 for 27ml. The product comes in a glass pump jar, which I like as it keeps the primer fresher and feels better on my face (compared to a primer out of a plastic tube).

When applying the primer, a full pump will give you a pea-sized amount which is the perfect size for your whole face. But you can top it more if you wish.

My first thoughts of the primer were that 1) it was pink and 2) it was much thicker than my previous primer (Nivea, Hydrating primer). I was a little hesitant at first to see how pink this would turn out but when it’s applied to the face, it spreads out and the pinkness creates a blurring effect, in other words, those “pore reducing” qualities. The primer creates a sort of film over the face, which is a little thicker than I'm used to. Having said that, my skin is still able to breathe.

As a primer, it does create a good protective barrier between my skin and my makeup. After applying the primer and leaving it to dry/ settle a little, it’s a little tacky but this helps to keep the foundation in place. Making my makeup last pretty much all day. The slight thickness of the primer means the protective barrier is harder to penetrate so you don’t have to worry about your makeup seeping through.

However, if you’re looking for that silicon feel -which I think I prefer- this product has a slight feel but it’s not a defining quality. Looking at the ingredients, it's a water-based primer. It has a light matte and pink tinted finish which may not be everyone’s cup of tea and I’m not sure it’s mine.

Overall, I’d say it’s a good primer. It’s an easy high street alternative for the higher end ones. I wouldn’t say I’m crazy about it, I’m more of a light coverage kind of girl and it’s a little heavy for me. But with that said, I can’t lie when I see a good product which this is.

Bath is a beautiful city! The whole city is a UNESCO world heritage site and is known for its natural hot springs and Georgian architecture. I wish I could've spent longer here as there's so much to do and explore! It's definitely my second favourite UK city after London. It's not really a place you can do in less than 24 hours but that said, I’ve compiled a mini-tour guide to my view of the city that you could do in 24/36 hours.

Where to go... Pulteney Bridge

Imagine a normal road with shops either side but with water flowing underneath. Pulteney Bridge is one of four bridges in the world to have shops running either side down the bridge. You can even stop off in one of the bakeries and watch the river flow beneath you.

Where to eat/ shop... Sally Lunn's

Pop into Sally Lunn’s for one of her famous buns! Freshly baked at 10am every day, Sally's buns are huge (couldn't resist) and are very similar to brioche. The quaint little tea shop is said to be in the oldest house in Bath and is usually packed with people. Whilst there is the option to sit in the tea shop, we chose to pick up a few buns from the museum shop to have later.

Where to go… Roman Baths

The Roman baths are a must-see tourist attraction! Built on natural mineral-rich hot springs, the baths played a critical role in the city’s history and development. All the Roman architecture was still intact making it feel like you’d stepped back in time. Towards the end, you could sit next to the main bath which was so relaxing. Oh, and you get to try some of the hot spring water for yourself!

Where to eat… Boston Tea Party

This cafe is so cute! It’s bright inside and has a chilled vibe; perfect for a little rest from a day’s exploring. It’s abnormally long for a cafe but a great place to go with your laptop and do some work. I discovered this (not-so-little) gem just around the corner from the Fashion Museum. They have a lovely selection of cakes including gluten-free options.

Where to go… Fashion Museum

It wouldn't be a proper trip if I didn't look for anything fashion related and of course, I ended up in Bath's Fashion Museum. It's not that expensive to get in and the permanent exhibition, 'A History of Fashion in 100 Objects', takes you through different styles of clothing and how they were introduced. If you have time, do check it out as you may learn a few things.

Where to go… Royal Crescent

Either during the day or evening, take a walk around the Circus and up through to the Royal Crescent. There is also a museum at no. 1 which you could pop into if you wanted. The famous semi-circle road looks out over the city providing breathtaking views and is a picture perfect place!

Where to eat… Hall & Wood House

We ended up spending two whole hours here just devouring their gorgeous food. The place is massive with 4 levels, including a rooftop terrace. The decor is gorgeous! The large skylight in the roof makes the place so bright inside. I definitely recommend their roasts. Pure Bliss!

I hope my guide encourages you to visit Bath if you haven't already been. It really is a beautiful place!

Apologies for the weird tints in the pictures. They're not very Spring-like or vibrant - something was wrong with my camera xxx
When the first signs of Spring appear, I get this giddy excitement bubbling inside because Summer is just around the corner. The days are starting to warm up, the suns decided to shine it’s warm rays down on us and everyone’s mood starts to lift.

One of the things I hate about winter is that everything is so dark and gloomy. For the entirety of the four-month season, your mood is down and your wardrobe becomes a sad state of three trusty jumpers you know are going to keep you warm from the blizzard outside.

When Spring starts to appear with the longer and brighter days, you can start introducing new brighter colours into your outfits building up to your Summer wardrobe.

This Spring, wear lighter colours and softer materials to channel the new brighter season. Hit up the pastels and use blush colours to add a little life back into your wardrobe. Floral is always on trend for Spring so don’t be afraid to dip in and out.

Another big trend for this Spring is Denim and you’ve probably seen it everywhere in the shops. So whether you're rocking some mom jeans or a creative colourful pastel piece, grab yourself a little denim to play with this season.

One of the things I love doing at the beginning of each season is buying a few items that set off my wardrobe. This time around I picked up a pair of high waisted vintage cut ripped jeans (a bit of a mouthful) from H&M. They're gorgeous and a complete 180 from the look I usually go for but Spring is a new season and you can adapt your style to the new season’s settings.

I also picked up this cute wrap crop top from Forever 21. The material is so soft and I love the cream colour with light blue strips, I think it really channels the essence of spring. It's quite a light material so I think paired with the jeans and some flats will work on a lovely warm spring day.

Lastly, like I mentioned earlier, Spring is a mood lifter and an easy way to instantly brighten any mood (I find) is to have a bright colour on your nails. One of my favourite pastel shades is Barry M's Cashmere. It’s a subtle pink, not too dark or too pink; the perfect shade. It also reminds me of blossom which is one of my favourite things about Spring!

What do you to get ready for Spring?

P.S- Sorry for the unexpected hiatus, uni has just consumed my mind for the last month with deadlines but I hope to get back to regular posts soon. Stay tuned! x
